Natural Disaster Assistance Program

Provides assistance to Muscogee (Creek) citizens who have experienced a Disaster as defined below. Assistance includes the replacement of necessary items such as clothing, personal hygiene, groceries, furniture, and/or emergency shelter and utility costs. Assistance is up to $7,500 per fiscal year.

 

TYPES OF NATURAL DISASTERS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Fire
2. Flood
3. Tornado
4. Hurricane
5. Earthquake

BASIC REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:

1. Copy of citizenship card or printout from the MCN Citizenship Office for all household members. Driver license/ID or birth certification will be accepted for non-Indians.
2. Copy of social security card for all household members.
3. Copy of fire report and/or documentation on the disaster.
4. Pictures of damage.
5. Additional information may be required, depending on the situation.

Incidents not covered:

1. Meth lab fires.
2. Gross negligence; or
3. Arson/vandalism
